Sunday is a good day to talk about God’s Word. In the first chapters of Deuteronomy Moses was reminding the people of all God had done for them and encouraging them to remain strong in the Lord. 

Then in chapter six he outlined specifically the ways they were to care for and carry the Laws God had given them. They were to do the following:

  • Hold them in their hearts.
  • Teach them diligently to their children.
  • Talk about them when they are at home.
  • Talk about them when they are out and about.
  • Talk about them when they are headed to bed. 
  • Talk about them when they rise up in the morning.  
  • Keep them in their hands.
  • Bind them around their heads to be seen by all. 
  • They were to display them on their door posts.
  • They were to display them on their gates.

In short, God wanted them to integrate His Law into every aspect of their lives. We should attempt to do the same thing. Wrapping God’s Law around our lives as we travel through this life is the best travel guide we could have. It will help put light to the pathway and keep us headed in the right direction.

“6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.”  Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (KJV)

I feel that since God has given me the gift of this platform, I must always tell you about my Jesus.   

What is your relationship to the all-knowing God of the universe?  Do you know Jesus? Do you know the peace that can come only from an intimate relationship with Him?  You can know Him.  Jesus Christ, God’s Son, born into human flesh, sinless, crucified and giving His life freely, buried, arisen on the third day, will come into your life and change the outcome of your eternity.  You just have to be willing to believe and accept His truth.
