We just finished Christmas Eve with my family. We had finger foods to eat. We ended up watching a Christmas movie I had not seen, and we exchanged gifts. Our gatherings are much smaller these days. There are folks not here that we miss and folks not here that hurt our hearts; the hardest two being my mom and my sister-in-law‘s dad. We will always carry past Christmas memories with us though. We can look forward to times when we will all be together again in the presence of the Christ child and all our tears will be wiped away!

“3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4
